c-echo failing.

Post by Bobby »

I am having issues echoing microdicom. I just don't get why my echoscu is failing.
I've tried different ports... The original 11112 did the same thing.
I can echo my server from MicroDICOM but echoscu from dcmtk on the same host is failing.

Don't know why i couldn't put the picture 'right here'.....

You are right, There is an issue with echo from one node to MicroDicom. It will fail every time. We will investigate it and will be fixed in next version.
Note that you can send image from other node to MicroDicom regardless echo is not working.

Thank you for your quick response.
Does this mean that if there are more than one node that things work 'better'?

In some cases this application doesn't even open it's listener port. Have you seen this?

No, it will not work better. Now we rework this part,
Sending from DICOM node to MicroDicom will be more user friendly and easy to use. Also MicroDicom will have ability to send images to other DICOM node.

MicroDicom opens listener port to listen only after opening "Download from DICOM server" dialog. As I said it will reworked and the port will be opened when application is started.

Could you tell me a case when it is not opened?

You can download latest beta: https://www.microdicom.com/downloads/beta/
Port listening is started when "Download from DICOM server" dialog is shown or when check box "Accept receiving studies" is turn on.

Also C-Echo failing is fixed in the beta.
