Detecting DICOMDIR file

Post by saviok »

Hi

I think it would be useful if the dicom viewer could automatically detect a DICOMDIR file in the same directory as the viewer exe and automatically opens it when you open the viewer.

Thoughts?

Hello,
You can do it now with current version.

mDicom.exe <path_to_DICOM_file>

or in your case it is:

mDicom.exe DICOMDIR

You can use the following command-line arguments:
Open a specific DICOM file: mDicom.exe <path_to_DICOM_file>

Open a specific DICOMDIR file: mDicom.exe <path_to_DICOMDIR_file>

Scan a directory for DICOM files:
mDicom.exe /scan <path_to_directory_to_scan>
or
mDicom.exe <path_to_directory_to_scan> /scan

Hi Simeon

Thanks for the reply but that's not quite what I meant.

So if we have the DICOMDIR file and the microDicom viewer exe in the same directory and when you open the viewer by double clicking the exe, it should open the DICOMDIR file.

Does that make sense?

Thanks

Now I understand you. Thanks for the clarification.
It is possible to develop this feature. We talk only for CD/DVD version. Am I right?

Sorry for the late reply.

Would it not be possible for both versions?
