MicroDicom DICOM Viewer can be started from the command line, from a script or from another application. You can open images, and you can also convert, anonymize, copy and download studies without using the mouse.
Open images
Open a DICOM file, a DICOMDIR file or a ZIP file with DICOM images:
mDicom.exe <path_to_file>
Scan a folder for DICOM files:
mDicom.exe <path_to_folder>
Open several files and folders at once:
mDicom.exe -fd <path_to_file1> <path_to_file2> <path_to_folder>
Start in full screen mode:
mDicom.exe -fullscreen
Convert DICOM files
Scan one or more folders and convert the DICOM files to images, video or text. The formats are jpeg, png, bmp, gif, tiff, wmf, wmv, avi, txt and csv.
mDicom.exe -scanAndConvert -format jpeg -overlay none -in "c:\images" -out "c:\export"
Convert JPG, PNG, BMP, GIF and TIFF files to DICOM:
mDicom.exe -scanAndConvertToDicom -in "c:\images" -out "c:\export"
Anonymize DICOM files
mDicom.exe -anonymize -in "c:\images" -out "c:\export" -patientName "Anonymous" -patientID "0001"
Copy DICOM files
Scan folders for DICOM files and copy them to another folder. Separate several input folders with the | character.
mDicom.exe -scanAndCopy -in "c:\images|c:\exams" -out "c:\export"
Copy the DICOM files from a CD or DVD:
mDicom.exe -scanCDAndCopy -showUI -out "c:\export"
Download from a PACS server
Download and show the studies of a patient by patient ID, from the servers in the settings:
mDicom.exe -pacsTagValue 00100020 "PatientID"
Import into the local database
mDicom.exe -importToDatabase -in "c:\images" -copyFiles
Useful to know
- Add -showUI to see a progress bar and messages while a command runs.
- Put paths that contain spaces in quotes.
